Job Summary
Service Writer role based in Augusta, ME, reporting to the Service Manager. Drive VIP customer experience by consulting with customers on vehicle condition, educating them on MPI findings, and applying VIP processes to achieve high engagement and SAX scores. Must communicate effectively with team, participate in LMS and vendor trainings, pursue certifications (BATS, TPMS, ASE), assist with dispatching work orders to technicians, maintain a compliant, safe, and clean service area, and support ongoing adherence to service standards. Standard schedule is 5 days, 40 hours per week; requires automotive knowledge, strong written/verbal communication, organizational skills, and ability to coordinate with management and customers.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
