Job Summary
Service Writer at Atlantic Tractor in Chestertown, MD, serves as primary point of contact for service inquiries, opens and tracks work orders, and prepares quotes for customer machine repairs. Responsible for generating quotes for service labor and parts, ensuring technicians have productive workflows, and assisting the Service Manager with process improvements. Maintains customer profiles, supports accurate invoicing, and upholds strong customer satisfaction through effective communication and coordination with the service team. Requires ability to operate in office and shop environments, stand/walk for extended periods, and handle up to 50 pounds, with extended hours during peak seasons. Requires knowledge of John Deere and competitive products and strong customer relationship skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
- Previous involvement / experience in activities such as sales, service, training or other related work within a mechanical field.
- Experience with basic computer functions and accounting practices.
- Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
- Excellent Customer Relationship Skills.
