Job Summary
Service Writer at an automotive service location responsible for consulting with customers, educating them about vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, and delivering a high-quality customer experience following VIP processes. Requires coordinating with the Service Manager, completing LMS and vendor trainings, achieving ASE and TPMS/BATS certifications, and communicating effectively with the team. Key duties include helping manage service desk operations, dispatching work orders to technicians, maintaining safety and facility standards, and participating in ongoing training to support VIP programs and execution. Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
