Service Workover Righand (Wichita Falls, TX)

The Rig Hand works under the direction of the Rig Operator. This crew-based role handles maintenance and day-to-day operation of service rigs, including loading/off-loading pipe, preparing and setting up the rig for workovers, maintaining draw works, inspecting safety gear (dies, slips, tongs, belts), and responding to emergencies such as hydrogen sulfide detection. Responsibilities include checking equipment condition (snub lines, cable clamps, etc.), knowing pipe types and sizes, threading tubing/rods, operating pumping units, diagnosing well problems, and performing routine service maintenance on rigs.
