Job Summary
Service Warranty Administrator responsible for reviewing and completing warranty claims, processing all warranty claims by the next business day following RO close date, identifying and resolving corrections/charge-backs, maintaining relationships with manufacturers' warranty representatives, auditing repair orders for accuracy, analyzing trends to maximize claim efficiency, flagging hours earned on services, cross-checking service history to avoid duplicate claims, and providing weekly status reports to the service manager. Requires strong verbal/written communication, customer service skills, ability to read instructions, automotive knowledge, and ASE certification or completion of pre-employment test. Also involves audits, reporting, compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and participation in warranty training and special projects. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to confront and resolve difficult customer service situations
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
- General knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle mechanical operations
- Two years of experience in a automotive dealership
- Must have technical aptitude displayed by ASE certification or successful completion of pre-employment test
