Job Summary

Manage and administer delivery of American Red Cross services to United States military members, veterans, and their families in accordance with policies and procedures. Build strong relationships with military leadership, key organizations, and community leaders while cultivating partnerships with external constituents to further the mission. Recruit, train, and manage volunteers who serve as primary resources for administering programs, ensuring consistent service delivery and community outreach through command meetings, education briefings, and presentations. Develop and implement local needs assessment plans and volunteer program plans using established processes. Support both day-to-day operations and emergency needs of the Hero Care Center as a member of the Hero Care Network Contingency Team. Respond to emergency, surge, and disaster situations as needed, maintaining readiness through annual deployment familiarization and additional trainings when activated. Provide supervision of volunteer service delivery staff and coordinate services to military treatment facilities and VA hospitals. Manage budgets and expenditures to ensure programs operate within budget while reporting outcomes to ensure organizational accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, human resources management, community organization, social or health sciences, or related field
  • Minimum of five years related experience in program management or related field
  • Strong computer skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills
