Job Summary
Maintain positive interactions with residents and the public to enhance community image and ensure superior retention. Perform general and emergency maintenance of apartments and common areas, including snow removal after hours and weekends. Create a customer-centered service culture by demonstrating proactive hospitality with prospects, residents, and associates. Maintain confidentiality regarding resident information and document daily visual inspections for property defects, safety concerns, and structural conditions. Responsible for daily cleaning, sanitizing, dusting, and turnover of apartments including painting and carpet shampooing. Identify potential maintenance problems and hazards, utilizing required company databases and software. Must be available and on-call for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays. Requires thorough knowledge of plumbing and electrical, ability to read repair manuals, and proficiency with hand and power tools. Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Must be able to follow oral and written directions
- Thorough knowledge of general plumbing
- Thorough knowledge of general electrical
- Ability to read repair manuals
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to use power tools
- Ability to follow instructions
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must have auto insurance
- Must be physically able to climb ladders
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to crawl into awkward spaces
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to traverse a variety of properties with stairs
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Must be available and on-call for emergencies after hours
- Must be available and on-call for weekends
- Must be available and on-call for holidays
- Must be able to report to work according to schedule
- Must be able to report to work on time
- Must maintain professional appearance with designated maintenance uniform
- Must utilize personal protective equipment
- Must complete OSHA10 Training
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times related to prospect or resident information
- Must maintain an attractive community appearance
