Job Summary
Service Technician responsible for servicing and maintaining the full line of laundry equipment and products. Duties include diagnosing and repairing laundry equipment, testing installations, maintaining professional relationships with customers, managing vehicle and tool inventory, assisting installers, supporting on-site retrofits and equipment overhauls, completing site inspections, and ensuring safety and quality to company standards. Must hold or be enrolled in a certified Natural Gas License/Qualification, have a valid driver’s license, and demonstrate mechanical, electrical, and basic electronic aptitude. Requires ability to work independently with minimal supervision, flexibility to work weekends, and strong communication and organizational skills. Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; on-site/in-person role.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a valid Natural Gas License or Certificate of Qualification or is enrolled in a certified course to obtain a valid Natural Gas Certificate of Qualification as approved by the province
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract
- Basic mechanical and technical aptitude
- Basic electronic aptitude
- Minimum 1 year of small chassis Washer and Dryer appliance repair skills is an asset
- Multi-load Wash and Dryer appliance repair skills is an asset
- Self-Starter with proven ability to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate strong technical, electrical, and mechanical ability
- Ability to diagnose, trouble-shoot and assess plumbing, ventilation, electrical, make-up air requirements
- Great organizational skills related to maintain assets, travel and prioritizing workload
- Manage and maintain Coinamatic assets and expenses (vehicle, phone/communication device)
- Team player who can work with all levels of the organization (sales, administration)
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Requires own basic tools
- Able to work flexible hours including weekends
