Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve malfunctions on veterinary equipment at customer sites, including setup, maintenance, repair, and installation of core hardware and software. Independently respond to service calls to troubleshoot issues, remove, modify, and install equipment while adhering to manufacturer guidelines and federal/state regulations. Provide post-installation support by advising customers on preventive maintenance, configurations, and new product training to ensure satisfaction and performance. Conduct pre- and post-installation inspections for defects, manage vehicle and parts inventory, and maintain accurate records of service orders and expenses. Perform overnight travel to customer locations while complying with safety standards and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Mechanical/Carpentry/Plumbing/Heating/Electrical/Electronic related experience
- Drivers License
- Ability to thrive in an independent role with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use general terminology to explain technical aspects to a non-technical audience
- Basic computer skills and ability to use smart phone/tablet
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Teams
- Ability to respond to difficult situations and demanding people and delivers negative information in a way that enhances relationships
- Primary Traveling
- Overnight travel
Desired Qualifications
- Trade school training in carpentry/plumbing/heating/electrical/electronic
- Previous experience servicing and installing x-ray equipment
- SAP experience
- Certified, Licensed or Registered Veterinary Technician
