Job Summary
Service Technician to perform basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. Role requires knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, ability to follow Technical Manual procedures, use Service Advisor and basic computer functions, lift up to 75 lbs, and maintain vehicle/tools in good condition. Includes participation in Service EDUCATE Training, staying current on John Deere and competitive products, completing required reports, and adhering to safety rules. Requires HS diploma or equivalent (associates preferred), valid driver’s license, and 1+ years of hands-on service repair experience. Primarily on-site in Kansas, Arkansas, or Missouri with standard in-person duties; remote/work-from-home not indicated. Responsibilities also include maintaining clean work area, proper timecard entries, and assisting with inventory and forms, plus general duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience performing service repairs
- Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance following Technical Manual procedures
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Valid drivers license is required
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
- Forklift license preferred
