Job Summary
Conduct pump rebuilding, breakdowns, evaluations, and repairs while inspecting and testing equipment for efficient operation. Install and ensure safe operation of new or replacement pump parts, performing routine maintenance and disassembling defective units. Execute confined space entry for lift station inspections and rebuilds, keeping accurate records of equipment movement, installation progress, and service schedules. Travel to customer locations and respond to emergency callouts, maintaining company standards on all repaired equipment. Requires 1+ years of mechanical experience, electrical knowledge, and ability to work in dirty or odorous conditions. Covers Western Iowa and Nebraska territory with up to 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of previous mechanical experience
- Electrical knowledge
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, twist, kneel and lift 70-80 pounds without injury
- Ability to enter inside manholes, pump station wet wells, and other spaces identified as confined spaces
- Nebraska driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to handle occasionally dirty/odorous conditions
- Ability to travel up to 10%
