Job Summary
Conduct complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on John Deere turf and utility equipment while adhering to Technical Manual procedures. Support customer clinics by explaining maintenance concerns directly and documenting work orders. Participate in required Service EDUCATE Training programs and establish effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain seasonal inventory. Maintain the mobile service vehicle, tools, and equipment, and complete all required reports and forms. Account for all time and material used in assigned duties while ensuring a safe working environment. Requires 3+ years of service repair experience and expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience performing service repairs
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf and utility equipment
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
