Job Summary

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of all photovoltaic system components, including inverters, string boxes, and solar panels. Install, commission, and inspect PV modules, electrical wiring for AC and DC arrays, and mechanical mounting for racking. Diagnose and resolve issues such as production loss, shorts, faults, and power outages while completing RMA's and logging project documentation. Assist in commissioning monitoring systems and perform roof repairs as needed. Travel overnight throughout the state to customer locations for equipment repairs and installations.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with Electrical Panels, including Sub Panels (MBD derate, conduit bending, circuit relocation).
  • Experience with various Solar Equipment (e.g., Enphase, Tesla, SolarEdge, SMA).
  • Experience with Monitoring equipment (e.g., Cat5, Zigbee, Router, Range Extender).
  • Knowledge of battery backup systems (e.g., Enphase, Tesla).
  • Knowledge of Standalone Metering equipment (e.g., Current Transformers (CT) for production and consumption).
  • Must be willing and able to work safely at heights (ladders, stairs, rooftops) and in confined areas.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, which include bending, lifting heavy equipment (50lbs +), and working in confined spaces to complete assigned job tasks.
  • Ability to work in various environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.).
  • Must be willing and able to travel overnight throughout the state when necessary.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license
  • Must pass a drug screening before being considered for employment.
