Job Summary
Provide prompt, professional service to residents and complete repair work on vacant apartments. Perform preventive maintenance checklists and assist the Service Supervisor with projects and on-call emergency duties. Execute interior painting of buildings and amenities, approve routine maintenance and minor part replacements, and submit major equipment replacement plans for review. Maintain facilities to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal for residents and prospective residents. Requires mechanical knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, plus ability to lift 100 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school
- Two years related experience at an apartment community and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Results orientated
- Self-starter
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Knowledge of plumbing
- Knowledge of heating
- Knowledge of air conditioning
- Knowledge of constructional procedures
- Knowledge of electrical procedures
- Ability to use all types of hand and power tools
- Ability to use Freon recovery machinery
- Ability to use air conditioning gauges
- Ability to use vacuum pumps
