Job Summary
Perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned self-propelled sprayers and spreaders, including agricultural equipment mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products, participate in required Service EDUCATE Training programs, and keep vehicles, inventory, and tools in proper condition. Follow all safety rules, complete required reports and forms, and account for time and materials on timecards. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays; available for overnight stays if needed. Lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly and operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience performing service repairs
- Available for overnight stays if needed
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required
- Valid drivers license is required

- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion

- Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
- Basic Service Technician certification preferred
- Associates degree preferred
- Forklift license preferred
