Job Summary
Independently perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment, including field work as required. Conduct or support customer clinics and mentor Service Technician Trainees. Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment while ensuring complete documentation of all work orders. Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products, participate in required training programs, and adhere to all safety rules. Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders. Requires ability to stand for extended periods, lift 75 pounds, and work varying shifts including holidays. Located at Sinclair Tractor's dealership network in Southeast Iowa.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Associates degree in John Deere Ag Tech or related 2 year degree
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment
- Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work varying shifts, extended hours, and holidays
- Must have basic knowledge of equipment safety procedures
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 75-pounds
- Travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in John Deere Ag Tech or related 2 year degree and/or 2 years of relevant experience preferred
