Job Summary
Independently perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. Conduct or support customer clinics, mentor Service Technician Trainees, and perform field diagnostics as required. Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment while ensuring complete documentation of work orders and timely submittal of information. Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products, participate in required training programs, and adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders. Work in a workshop setting with varying shifts, extended hours, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Associates degree in John Deere Ag Tech or related 2-year degree
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment
- Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work varying shifts, extended hours, and holidays
- Must have basic knowledge of equipment safety procedure
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 75-pounds
- Travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in John Deere Ag Tech or related 2-year degree and/or 2 years of relevant experience preferred
