Job Summary
Independent diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on John Deere agricultural and turf equipment. Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians. Conducts customer clinics. Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required. Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders. Responsible for thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs on work orders and timely submittal of information. May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs for skills development. Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment. Maintains a clean, safe work area and follows safety rules. Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products. Travel as needed; shifts may vary. Requires High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant two-year degree or experience preferred; strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-year degree in John Deere Ag Tech or related field preferred
- 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Excellent skills operating diagnostic equipment
- Proven knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work varying shifts, extended hours, and holidays
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds
- Travel as needed
