Job Summary
Diagnose and perform complex repairs on John Deere agricultural and turf equipment, including field service as required. Mentor trainees, conduct customer clinics, and manage billable work orders with thorough documentation. Operate vehicles, tools, and equipment while maintaining a clean workshop and adhering to all safety protocols. Maintain current knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and participate in required training programs. Requires ability to stand for extended periods, lift 75 pounds, and work varying shifts including holidays. Join Sinclair Tractor's team of thirteen John Deere dealerships and five NAPA locations in Southeast Iowa.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Associates degree in John Deere Ag Tech or related 2 year degree
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment
- Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work varying shifts, extended hours, and holidays
- Must have basic knowledge of equipment safety procedures
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 75-pounds
- Travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in John Deere Ag Tech or related 2 year degree and/or 2 years of relevant experience preferred
