Job Summary
Conduct complex diagnostics and service repairs on agricultural and turf equipment, including field work as needed. Mentor trainees and technicians while supporting customer clinics. Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, manage billable time, and operate tools and vehicles safely. Adhere to all safety regulations, maintain a clean workspace, and keep current on John Deere and competitive product knowledge. Requires ability to stand for extended periods, lift 75 pounds, and work varying shifts including holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Associates degree in John Deere Ag Tech or related 2 year degree
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment
- Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work varying shifts, extended hours, and holidays
- Must have basic knowledge of equipment safety procedures
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 75-pounds
- Travel as needed
