Job Summary
On-site Service Technician role within DoorDash Labs responsible for diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on robotic systems and electric bicycles to support fleet readiness. You will perform standard to intermediate service tasks, troubleshoot faults, follow established procedures using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic flowcharts, document all steps in the service management system, and collaborate with senior technicians while developing toward more independent repairs. The role includes training periods transitioning to permanent AM/PM shifts with weekend coverage, and requires collaboration with mentors, adherence to preventive maintenance schedules, and a focus on keeping robotic and e-bike fleets operating at peak performance.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of service work experience
- Curiosity and an inclination for all things mechanical and repair
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Prior experience in vehicle, bicycle, or fleet service (especially for electric or autonomous vehicles), robotics, or aircraft is a major plus
- Experience with JIRA, MaintainX, and other service tools and systems is a major plus
- Valid U.S. driver's license required and a successful completion of MVR required
