Job Summary
Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere agricultural and outdoor power equipment, including field service as required. Execute basic and complex maintenance tasks while maintaining current product knowledge and following Technical Manual procedures. Account for billable time and document all work on repair orders. Mentor apprentices and junior technicians while adhering to safety regulations and preparing required reports. Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, and diagnostic tools. Requires high school diploma, experience with mechanical and electrical systems, and ability to work extended hours and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of, and experience with, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in John Deere equipment
- Experience using special tools and following Technical Manual procedures
- Ability to diagnose technical issues
- Experience with basic computer functions such as Service Advisor or equivalent computer based diagnostic tools
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends
