Job Summary
Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere agricultural and outdoor power equipment, including field service assignments. Execute basic to complex maintenance work while maintaining current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive offerings. Account for billable time and document all diagnostics and repairs on repair orders. Mentor apprentices and junior technicians while participating in required training programs. Adhere to all safety rules, maintain tools and inventory, and prepare required reports. Requires experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, special tools, and technical manual procedures. Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of, and experience with, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in John Deere equipment
- Experience using special tools and following Technical Manual procedures
- Ability to diagnose technical issues
- Experience with basic computer functions such as Service Advisor or equivalent computer based diagnostic tools
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends
