Service Technician

Job Summary
Perform scheduled service, maintenance, repair, warranty, and adjustment work at customer locations and jobsites, diagnosing product, installation, and operational issues to implement appropriate repair solutions. Inspect products and completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards, verify repairs meet manufacturer specifications, and document service findings, repairs, and follow-up recommendations accurately. Communicate with customers regarding appointment times, repair status, and recommendations to deliver an exceptional customer experience while representing QXO professionally. Maintain assigned company vehicles and tools, manage inventory of materials and parts, and report safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately. Work in customer homes, commercial jobsites, and outdoor environments, requiring frequent travel and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to qualify for company vehicle insurance
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to work overtime or extended hours based on service schedules and customer needs
- Frequent travel between customer locations throughout the workday
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple service calls
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced field environment

- Experience in field service, maintenance, warranty, construction, or related industries
- Experience servicing building products such as doors, windows, millwork, or similar systems
- Strong understanding of installation, adjustment, repair, and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience working in customer-facing field service roles
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical training
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
