Job Summary
Diagnose and repair agricultural, turf, and compact construction equipment in the shop and field while supporting precision ag technology and ongoing John Deere training. Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs on established Ag Management Solutions products, then review and explain maintenance concerns directly with customers to document them on work orders. Maintain the mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, and tools while following all safety rules and completing required reports and forms. Participate in Service EDUCATE training programs and may promote service programs or manage seasonal parts inventory with the Parts Department.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on service repair experience
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic abilities
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and basic computer functions
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly and operate diagnostic equipment
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed technician (310T, 310S, 421A, or 425A)
- Advanced or Master Service Technician certification or equivalent experience
- Experience with John Deere equipment and systems
- CDL and forklift licenses
- Background in agricultural, turf, or compact construction equipment
- Apprenticeship training or technical diploma
