Job Summary
Test vehicle systems and components for proper function, isolating faults using diagnostic computers, hand-held gauges, and onboard compression tools. Drive vehicles for testing purposes while maintaining efficiency and accuracy in diagnosis and repair. Replace worn parts proactively and follow checklists to examine critical items such as hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, and brakes. Utilize power tools like pneumatic wrenches, grinding machines, and lathes to remove bolts and rebuild brakes, along with common hand tools for small-scale work. Must have at least a high school diploma, ASE certifications preferred, and minimum one year in a service department. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on feet for extended periods required. Pass pre-employment testing including background checks, drug test, credit report, and valid driver's license. Required Qualifications
- Must have at least a high school diploma/GED
- Minimum of 1 year in service department
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license
- Basic Computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree preferred
- ASE certifications preferred
- Ability to identify the problem quickly
- Good knowledge of automobiles
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Enjoy working in a fact paced environment
