Job Summary
Installation, Service and Testing of Fire Alarm and Burglar Alarm Systems; provide customers with required equipment documentation and Training; install and upgrade systems as required by the manufacturer; complete installation of Systems in an efficient and profitable manner; supervision of electrical contractors during installation of AFA-Notifier fire alarm equipment for tenant spaces (JFK terminals 1 and 6) including billable and non-billable troubleshooting and testing; role requires on-call and overtime; strong knowledge of NFPA codes and Notifier/DMP/Bosch/Fire-Lite/Honeywell systems; NYCFD S-98 certification; programming knowledge; valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years experience with fire alarm service
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of NFPA- National Fire Alarm Codes
- Knowledge of NFPA 101- Life Safety Code
- Familiar with Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Sprinkler System and Water-Based Protection
- Notifier, DMP, Bosch, Fire-Lite and Honeywell overall knowledge preferred
- Must be available for on-call and willing to work overtime
- NYCFD S-98 certificate required
- Knowledge of programming
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
