Job Summary
Maintain equipment and surrounding areas by performing preventative maintenance, conducting special projects, and assisting with material loading/unloading. Operate injection equipment and Leco analyzers to prepare and analyze hot metal samples while documenting all problems and potential issues in logs and reports. Provide technical assistance to customers, ensure proper equipment operation, and adhere strictly to safety rules and S.O.P.s. Work independently in mill environments, covering swing shifts and open rotations as customer demand requires.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of electrical systems
- Sound mechanical aptitude
- Punctuality and dependability
- Ability to work in a mill environment
- Good mobility, eyesight, and hearing
- Ability to work a scheduled swing shift
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to cover vacations schedule and open shifts
- Ability to work overtime where needed
- Ability to work with short notice schedule changes based on Customer demand
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
