Job Summary
Repair and maintain heavy trucks and Curry Supply equipment, performing on-site field service and occasional in-house shop repairs. Duties include writing orders for parts, evaluating parts for reusability, diagnosing hydraulic and electrical problems, performing hydraulic and electrical diagnostic repairs, and testing new units. Travel to customer sites (overnight trips) is required. Strong mechanical repair skills with diesel and automotive experience, plus proficiency with diagnostic tools, service manuals, and hydraulic/electrical schematics. Maintain thorough service reports, communicate with customers and management, and comply with company safety policies and zero-tolerance drug/alcohol standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two years’ experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks (including diesel engines and transmissions/components)
- read, write, and interpret service manuals
- diagnostic skills for hydraulic and electrical systems
Desired Qualifications
- ASE Certification (preferred)
- Associates degree in automotive technical field (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Strong mechanical repair skills including diesel and automotive systems
- Ability to read, follow, and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Proficient use of diagnostic equipment and service manuals
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to travel for on-site repairs (overnight travel)
