Job Summary
Perform repair and maintenance on lift trucks and other equipment, traveling daily to customer locations. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems with lift trucks or equipment; conduct tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper function; perform repairs, replacements, or preventative maintenance; may include test driving the vehicle to ensure repairs are completed correctly. Prepare estimates or quotes for repair costs and maintain the service van and inventory. Requires extensive knowledge of the specialized area and general equipment repair, excellent mechanical repair skills, analytical and critical thinking, and strong communication and customer service abilities. Must be willing to submit and pass an annual MVR check. Education: high school diploma or equivalent; experience: 1-2 years of related experience preferred. Ability to read service and repair manuals, use computer diagnostic equipment/software, and read work orders; physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and ability to work in varied temperatures and environments.
