Job Summary
Diagnose and repair complex manual and powered wheelchairs and medical equipment in the shop and field. Maintain stock and rental equipment, manage parts inventory, and perform minor fittings and adjustments for user comfort. Keep delivery vehicles operational and ensure the shop/warehouse remains clean, organized, and safe. Educate customers and caregivers on proper equipment use and safety protocols. Complete accurate documentation with necessary signatures and submit reports. Follow all safety procedures and participate in required in-service training. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pull/push over 100 lbs, and willingness to work overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of related experience
- Minimum of two years of relevant mechanical experience
- Proficiency with hand and power tools for equipment repair
- Basic knowledge of Word Processing, Email, and Internet
- Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions to resolve equipment issues
- Valid State Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pull/push equipment weighing over 100 lbs
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling
- Strong manual dexterity
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Must pass a drug test
