Job Summary

Diagnose and repair complex manual and powered wheelchairs and medical equipment in the shop and field. Maintain stock and rental equipment, manage parts inventory, and perform minor fittings and adjustments for user comfort. Educate customers and caregivers on proper equipment use and safety while ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. Keep the shop, warehouse, and delivery vehicles clean, organized, and safe per all compliance regulations. Participate in required in-service training to stay updated on industry practices and product knowledge. Requires a valid driver's license, two years of mechanical experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of related experience
  • Minimum of two years of relevant mechanical experience
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools for equipment repair
  • Basic knowledge of Word Processing, Email, and Internet
  • Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions to resolve equipment issues
  • Valid State Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to pull/push equipment weighing over 100 lbs as necessary
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling
  • Strong manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to work overtime when required
  • Must pass a drug test

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with medical equipment
  • Previous Experience with Wheelchair Repair or Medical Equipment
  • Hands-on experience with mobility equipment
  • Efficiency in a Fast-Paced Environment
