Service Technician

Service Technician responsible for maintenance and repair of customer-owned equipment including safety systems such as fire extinguishers, fire hoses, SCBA’s, fixed gas detection, emergency eyewash & showers, and related equipment. Essential duties include monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, fire hose testing, functional testing of SCBA’s (Scott, MSA, Honeywell Survivair), inspections of emergency showers & eyewash stations, maintaining demo and rental equipment, entering service orders into the order entry system and preparing equipment for shipment, using computerized systems for testing and paperwork coordination, and maintaining and troubleshooting air monitoring and fixed gas detection equipment. Requires an Associate degree or equivalent and 2-5 years of related experience, strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple projects; role is on-site in Downers Grove, IL; full-time with duties as assigned.
