Job Summary
Field Service Technician in Lansing, MI is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair in the field, documenting related repairs and services, and recommending system or equipment changes to improve reliability and reduce customer costs. Duties include periodic scheduled and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment (including PLC controllers and power supplies), providing technical assistance to customers and distributors, on-site technical training for customer personnel, possible installation of new carwash equipment, performing repairs, updating equipment as needed, maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring safe operation of vehicles, communicating with customers and company personnel to ensure effective information flow, staying current with developments to improve departmental and company performance, and contributing to customer service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years field experience
- technical knowledge and ability to develop improved methods
- excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructions
- MS Office proficiency
- ability to read electrical diagrams
- understanding of OLC controllers, low voltage control circuits, and three-phase power
