Job Summary
Perform hydraulic maintenance and repairs on shipboard cranes, winches, hatch covers, steering gears, and RoRo equipment, including advanced equipment repairs and breakdown analysis. Document work schedules, completed tasks, and relevant documentation such as service reports and travel expenses while ensuring all activities comply with MacGregor safety standards. Travel to client sites, vessels, or shipyards worldwide, with a requirement to travel up to 80% of the time. Report directly to the Workshop Foreman in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hydraulic troubleshooting, maintainance and equipment repairs
- Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with shipboard cranes, winches, hatch covers, steering gears and/or RoRo equipment
- Previous experience from merchant, offshore, naval or maritime industry
- Previous experience with shipboard cranes, winches, hatch covers, steering gears and/or RoRo
- Basic computer literacy
- Independent professional who has the confidence to make decisions under pressure
