Job Summary
Install tanks adhering to NFPA 58 and 54 requirements, complete state license training, and immediately report all incidents to the General Manager. Perform daily inspections (DVIR) of the truck, maintain it in excellent condition, and accurately document and bill for parts used. Assist with seasonal deliveries by driving a vehicle as necessary. This role requires a Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, on-call availability for extended hours, and frequent physical labor including lifting up to 75 pounds. Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience in propane, HVAC, or a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Maintain a Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent training and experience
- Basic understanding of computer concepts and usage
- Familiarity with propane systems, regulations, and industry standards
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn propane systems and installation practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service orientation
- Professional appearance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various environments and weather conditions
- Basic computer skills for completing service orders and maintaining documentation
- Class B CDL License
- Ability to work past regular departure time or outside of regular work hours
- Frequent bending, squatting, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment or materials (up to 75 pounds)
