Job Summary
Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency, diagnosing repairs needed and executing maintenance on engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning systems. Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify issues, then communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional service needs and provide time estimates. Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications while collaborating with the team to improve and learn new service procedures. Requires a valid driver's license, steady hand, and strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Monday through Friday with rotating Saturday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification preferred
- Ford or other OEM Certification
- Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred
- B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
