Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair commercial laundry equipment at work-out facilities, hospitals, and motels, installing replacement parts as needed. Accurately document all service and travel activities, including time, materials, mileage, and fuel purchases. Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair work and coordinate with the service manager, parts department, and vendors to facilitate accurate work product. Maintain tools, service equipment, and the company-supplied vehicle while assisting install crews with equipment installations and deliveries. This role supports the Northern Birmingham, AL market and requires substantial travel within the assigned service territory, with some overnight travel possible during special projects.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ years of mechanical repair experience
- Working knowledge of electrical testing tools and/or other diagnostic/programing tools
- Strong mechanical acumen
- Ability to identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
- Solid organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to self-manage workload and multiple projects simultaneously while managing and meeting deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Desired Qualifications
- Laundry equipment experience
- Experience in telephone and email/ticketing dispatch system-based customer support
- Proficient computer skills including using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
