Job Summary
Assist Service Technicians with preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and shop organization. Perform basic hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting while maintaining accurate service documentation and work orders. Complete assigned safety and technical training, including OSHA compliance, and support parts inventory and material movement. Apply classroom knowledge in a real-world environment to develop skills in diagnostics, repairs, and equipment setup. This internship develops future Service Apprentices and full-time Service Technicians at TIME Manufacturing, offering a direct pathway into the Service Apprentice Program for enrolled students in diesel, heavy equipment, or automotive technology programs.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited technical college or community college
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in Diesel Technology
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in Heavy Equipment Technology
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in Automotive Technology
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in Industrial Maintenance
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in Mechatronics
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in a related field
- Minimum GPA of 2.5
- Ability to work full-time during the summer
- Ability to work part-time during school breaks
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a shop environment
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of first year of technical program
- Basic hydraulic coursework
- Basic electrical coursework
- Welding coursework
- Experience using hand and power tools
- OSHA 10 certification
