Job Summary
Assist Service Technicians with preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and setup while performing shop organization, cleaning, and tool maintenance. Learn basic hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting by reading service manuals, completing assigned safety training, and maintaining accurate documentation. Support parts inventory, staging, and material movement while following all company safety policies. This internship develops skills in diagnostics and repairs for vehicle-mounted aerial lifts and heavy equipment, offering a direct pathway into the Service Apprentice Program for students in diesel or industrial maintenance programs.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited technical college or community college
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in Diesel Technology
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in Heavy Equipment Technology
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in Automotive Technology
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in Industrial Maintenance
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in Mechatronics or related field
- Minimum GPA of 2.5
- Ability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during school breaks
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of first year of technical program
- Basic hydraulic, electrical, or welding coursework
- Experience using hand and power tools
- OSHA 10 certification
