Service Technician - Intermediate

Job Summary
Troubleshoot, configure, reconstruct, and program security and site-automation solutions for residential settings. Services include fire and carbon monoxide detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control. Follow and complete wired/wireless technology and connection procedures; test and validate system signals with central monitoring; act as a customer-service champion to help clients understand protections in their homes. Read blueprints/building/electrical plans, readjust or replace equipment, and coordinate inspections with police/fire departments or other agencies.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or GED
- Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read building electrical and sprinkler plans
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical plans
- Customer-service oriented
