Job Summary
The Residential Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert responsible for alleviating customer concerns regarding security systems. Primary duties include troubleshooting, configuring, reconstructing and programming existing security and site automation solutions; servicing fire and carbon monoxide detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control; testing and validating system signals/communication with central monitoring; maintaining a customer-focused approach to help customers understand the protection in their home; locating and repairing damaged equipment, reading blueprints, coordinating inspections with police/fire departments, and ensuring proper operation of equipment. Requires High School degree or GED, 2+ years' experience in installing/inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable products, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to read building electrical and sprinkler plans as required for clearing equipment trouble
- Standing, stooping, lifting ,climbing ,crawling
