Job Summary
Perform on-site installation, start-up, commissioning, and service of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment across the West Coast. Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, pumps, valves, sensors, and PLC components. Troubleshoot equipment failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions while providing operation guidance and basic training to customers. Work in tight quarters, including on top of and underneath equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs, with up to 75% travel including international destinations. Submit to safety, background, and drug/alcohol testing as required.
Required Qualifications
- Technical education or 5+ years of hands‐on field service / maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Safe working practices
- Experience with industrial equipment in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, food)
- Basic PLC diagnostics
- Understanding of GMP documentation
- Independent working style
- Strong communication skills
- Customer‐focused mindset
- Valid driver's licence
- Passport
- Willingness to travel up to 75%, including international destinations
- Ability to work in tight quarters; on top of and underneath equipment
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel and bend continuously while working on equipment (66% of the time)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Willingness to submit to safety, background and drug/alcohol testing
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Experience servicing equipment such as lyophilizers, sterilizers, isolators, or containment systems
- Experience working in cleanroom or controlled environments
- Ability to read basic ladder logic or fault diagnostics
- Multi-lingual (Spanish, German, or French)
