Job Summary
Inspect vacated apartments, document necessary renovations, and re-inspect completed units to ensure superior presentation and restore properties to "make ready" status. Respond to resident requests and problems with successful repairs covering HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware, masonry, painting, drywall, pools, spas, and trash management. Routinely perform preventative maintenance, restore apartments, and inspect community grounds and buildings to identify maintenance projects and ensure safety standards. Promote safe work practices among the on-site team and deliver excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws including Fair Housing regulations. Complete required paperwork and address all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 1-3 years' experience performing maintenance duties
- Multi-Family maintenance experience
- HVAC and CPO certification
- Capacity to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to read and receive work instructions
- Ability to comprehend required trainings
- Ability to understand labels on containers
- Ability to verbally communicate with associates, residents and vendors
- Ability to complete required paperwork
- Ability to accurately take measurements
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- General computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Property management based software skills
- Capacity to safely use chemicals, paint, and general cleaning supplies
- Capacity to frequently operate motorized vehicles such as car, truck, van or golf cart
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Multi-Family maintenance experience helpful
- HVAC and CPO certification preferred
