Job Summary

Service Technician III with responsibility for on-site installation and service of Hobart/ITW Food Equipment Group commercial food equipment. Provides on-site support to customers, including installation, maintenance, and repair across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and refrigeration systems. Requires capability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment, interpret schematics, perform preventative maintenance, and support safety and operational procedures. Must handle on-call, after-hours, holiday, and weekend on-site repair support, and be willing to travel up to ~50% of the time. Emphasizes customer experience, leads generation, and alignment with company safety practices and policies. Education and experience emphasize a high school/GED foundation with 4–7 years of service experience or 2–4 years HVACR service experience; industry certifications (CFESA, NATE, EPA) are highly desirable.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4-7 years of food equipment service experience and/or 2-4 years of HVACR service experience
  • Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking and/or refrigeration equipment (preferred)
  • Industry certification is highly desirable (CFESA/NATE/Hobart)
  • EPA Certification
  • Accredited Certified Technician (CFESA / NATE / Hobart)
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and/or refrigeration (HVACR) aptitude
  • Ability to interpret schematic diagrams
  • Safety training and PPE compliance
  • Valid driver responsibilities and travel up to 50% of time
