Job Summary
Service Technician III at BH oversees physical asset maintenance, performs general upkeep and repairs, handles apartment make-readies, and supports preventive maintenance and rehabilitation projects. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory of repair supplies, responding to service requests, performing HVAC and appliance repairs, identifying and correcting hazardous conditions, implementing preventive maintenance programs, ensuring tool security, coordinating weekly make-ready schedules, and assisting with on-call coverage. Requires OSHA safety knowledge, familiarity with federal/state/local codes, and strong teamwork with the Community Manager/Service Manager; on-site work with potential overtime and rotating on-call shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of progressive maintenance and safety experience
- Intermediate computer skills, including industry-specific technology required to perform job functions
- High School diploma is a plus
- EPA Core certification
- Type I-Appliances certification
- Type II-HVAC certification
- Must possess own hand tools
