Job Summary
Service/Repair Technician 2 provides on-site support to Hobart Service customers, including installation and service of commercial food equipment. Performs mechanical and electrical diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs, with ability to interpret schematics and operate in on-call, after-hours, holiday, and weekend on-site settings. Responsibilities include installing equipment, maintaining and repairing equipment, following safety procedures, and delivering a quality customer experience while meeting branch and organization objectives. Requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, problem solving, and customer-facing communication; travel up to 50% and lifting/physical demands are noted in duties and work environment. Located in Portland, ME with on-site work expectations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and 2-4 years of electrical and mechanical experience, or High school diploma or GED and 0-2 years of HVACR service experience with an EPA certification, or Vocational certificate in HVACR
