Job Summary
On-site Service/Repair Technician II provides on-site installation and service of commercial food equipment for Hobart Service customers, including routine repair support with on-call, after-hours, holidays, and weekend shifts. Responsibilities include installing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment, diagnosing and maintaining equipment, interpreting schematic diagrams, performing preventative maintenance, following safety manuals, and delivering a quality customer experience while supporting branch financial objectives. The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, extensive travel up to 50%, and the ability to work across office facilities and customer sites; education and experience align with high school diploma or GED plus 2-4 years electrical/mechanical experience or HVACR experience with EPA certification, with an associate’s degree or vocational certificate preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and 2-4 years of electrical and mechanical experience, or High school diploma or GED and 0-2 years of HVACR service experience with an EPA certification, or Vocational certificate in HVACR
- Industry certification is highly desirable
