Service Technician I - Solar

Job Summary
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on contracted PV systems, assist construction and maintenance with AC/DC wiring and PV module installation, and service EV charging stations. Conduct electrical testing (megger, insulation resistance, PV curve trace), manage inverter maintenance and annual servicing, document PM visits with photos and test results, oversee sub-contractors as needed, and communicate service jobs to the service coordinator. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and completion of BAT-approved Apprenticeship (or equivalent experience). Proficiency in electrical/electronic troubleshooting and installations for commercial/industrial solar, renewables, and EV systems. Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, electrical safety, and CPR are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of BAT approved Apprenticeship Program or a minimum of 6 years on-the-job electrical/solar service experience
- Experience troubleshooting electrical/electronic devices
- Experience in electrical installations in a commercial or industrial environment
- Experience in Solar, Renewable Energy, and EV systems
- OSHA 10 training preferred
- OSHA 30 training preferred
- Electrical Safety training Preferred
- CPR training preferred
