Job Summary
Service Technician I at Securitas Technology provides on-site service on security systems and equipment at customer sites, handling post-installation issues, routine maintenance, and special projects. You will respond to trouble tickets to maintain uptime, diagnose and resolve issues individually or as part of a team, perform routine configuration changes, document system modifications with a digital change control system, produce technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences, conduct pre-deployment end-to-end testing of upgrades, and perform on-site installations of software upgrades and major modifications. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with low voltage electronics, and strong knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion, and fire alarm systems, along with solid Microsoft Office proficiency, IP addressing concepts, and excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment
- Strong working knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary alarm, intrusion systems, and fire alarms
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Working knowledge IP addressing equipment
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Certifications in enterprise grade CCTV and Access Control systems a plus
